Bob McCandless went to college with his friend Richard Carpenter of the "Carpenters". He became their bass player when the Carpenters suddenly became superstars. Afterward, he worked in the Disney Band at Disneyland with all the top performers. He then moved to Kalispell MT to teach school, live his dream of an outdoor life and play music casually without demands and met Tom Gunn, the top pianist in Las Vegas for decades playing with all the greats who had retired to MT.  Musically and personality wise, they were a perfect match and had wonderful fun playing at all the venues in the area thrilling everyone who had a chance to hear these two masters.
